A waterfall worth pulling over for: Witness Puukumu Stream Falls on Kauai’s North Shore near Kalihiwai.
The exquisite waterfall that is visible from Kalihiwai Road near Kalihiwai Beach is Puukumu Stream Falls, an under-the-radar gem located on Kauai’s North Shore near the town of Kilauea. The waterfall is viewable from a roadside pullout on Kalihiwai Road, shortly past the dirt road to the Secret Beach trail head. Surrounded by lush vegetation, Puukumu Stream Falls cascades down a dramatic rock wall into a verdant valley. If not located on private property, the waterfall would surely be a popular attraction. Nevertheless, the falls should only be enjoyed from the roadside pullout. Do not trespass in an effort to reach the falls. The waterfall is not open to the public.
