Salvation Army Serving Thanksgiving Meals on Kauai and Across Hawaii and Guam

November 22, 2025

The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division is readying its annual Thanksgiving meal outreach, set to touch thousands of lives across Hawaiʻi and Guam. Continuing a longstanding holiday tradition that invites communities to celebrate the season with compassion, connection, and a warm meal, the nonprofit will serve up a series of free public events and food distributions before and on Thanksgiving. Among one of the largest of these services will be the Thanksgiving Day Meal at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on Oʻahu, serving an estimated 2,000 people and offering entertainment and food with all the holiday trimmings.

“Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude, reflection, joy and hope,” said Divisional Commander Major Troy Trimmer. “These regional events provide opportunities for people to be in community with full stomachs and hearts, and without financial stress or fear of judgement. We want to remind people that The Salvation Army, motivated by the love of God, is here for you—not only in fellowship during the holidays, but year-round through our vital services and programs.”
