Puka Dog has reinvented the classic hot dog with a Hawaiian twist. At Puka Dog, a tasty polish sausage (or veggie dog) is tucked inside a freshly-baked vertical (as opposed to horizontal) Hawaiian bun that is filled with your choice of garlic lemon secret sauces, tropical relish and condiments that include Aunt Lilikoi’s Hawaiian Mustard. Paired with actual freshly-squeezed lemonade and a bag of Maui Chips, Puka Dog is the perfect break from your South Shore activities.
Secret sauce choices range from mild to lava, while the tropical relish (with colorful names such as Polihale Sunset and Waimea Canyon) includes island favorites mango, pineapple, papaya, coconut, banana and star fruit punch. Hot dog traditionalists need not worry though. A Puka Dog can also be ordered plain with mustard, ketchup and sweet pickle relish as options.
