On March 18, 2025, the Friends of Kauai Wildlife Refuges will host the Third Annual Guided Sunset Cart Tour Fundraiser. This event will take place at the Princeville Makai Golf Course in Princeville from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The tour will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the scenic views of Kauai while supporting local wildlife conservation efforts.
The event will feature a guided cart tour of the Princeville Makai Golf Course, which is known for its picturesque landscape and breathtaking views. The tour will focus on the natural surroundings and highlight the conservation efforts that support Kauai’s native wildlife.
In addition to the tour, attendees will enjoy a welcome cocktail and complimentary Hawaiian appetizers (pupu). Live Hawaiian music will also be provided by the local duo Kūpaoa. A cash bar will be available for those wishing to purchase additional drinks.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kauai National Wildlife Refuge Complex, which works to protect native wildlife, restore habitats, and provide educational programs. The funds raised will also support rehabilitative care for sick or injured birds, native plant restoration, lighthouse preservation, and community events.
Tickets for the event are priced at $150, which includes two event admissions and one golf cart for the tour. A portion of each ticket is tax-deductible. Additionally, all funds raised will be matched, doubling the impact of attendees’ contributions.
The event will be held at the Princeville Makai Golf Course, located at 4080 Lei O Papa Road in Princeville, HI 96722. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Friends of Kauai Wildlife Refuges website.
